After the page proofs are returned, the waiting begins. I’ve heard all is progressing well. That I may even hold a physical book in my hands before the publication date of June 18th. And I can announce a first event. On Wednesday, July 24, I will read from The Nansen Factor at the Wellfleet Public Library with Yelena Lembersky. Yelena is the author of Like a Drop of Ink in a Downpour, which recounts her childhood in Leningrad. Yelena wrote the memoir with her mother Galina, who describes her year in a Soviet prison, although she had committed no crime, and the family’s efforts to emigrate.
