Days are simply zipping by this summer. In eleven days, I will travel to Sweden. Today, I’ve been traveling in my mind for my novel set in Viking times. I’m extremely pleased because I just finished the first draft of Part 1. 34,000 words. People who think writing a novel is easy, think again. You’re wrong. It’s hard. And I’ve been doing a ton of research. The problem is that no one in Svealand, 865, wrote down what was happening. So, I have to figure it out, improvise, imagine how my protagonist would react under certain circumstances. Read up on Viking times. Try to understand life back then. It’s a challenge for sure. But I think I’m getting somewhere …
